Nettle Hill is committed to reducing use of single-use plastic and recycles all waste where possible. We are committed to being environmentally aware, actively support programmes that reduce our company’s environmental impact and continually improve our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operation procedures.

We seek to understand the effect that our business activities have on the environment by supporting initiatives such as:

• Reduction of material, water and energy consumption

• Waste minimisation

• Recycling of all resources

• Using minimal single-use plastic on site - we're committed to finding sustainable alternatives, using local suppliers and initiatives where possible.

We recognise that we have a responsibility to the environment to meet or exceed legislative and regulatory requirements.

We will ensure that this policy and all procedures relating to it are understood, implemented and maintained by all company employees.

By Summer 2022 we want to achieve:

• No single-use plastic items to be used on site we're currently looking into coffee & tea suppliers, cleaning suppliers, drinks and catering suppliers.

• Better systems for composting and recycling all waste products

• Rainforest alliance coffee suppliers

• Reduce our use of fossil fuels

• Introduce a compost site

• Go paperless to the best of our ability 

• Update all lighting to LED

• Support local companies
